We absolutely love making time for reading for pleasure at Our Lady’s! ❤️ There’s nothing quite like getting lost in a good book and discovering new stories, characters and worlds.
Reading for pleasure helps children to develop their vocabulary, imagination and confidence, while also supporting their wellbeing, concentration and communication skills. Most importantly, it helps children discover the joy of reading simply because they want to! 🌟

Here at Our Lady’s we are proud to share that 100% of pupils passed their phonics screening test! 🎉🎉🎉
Our pupils learn to read through a phonics programme called read, write, inc which allows us to deliver lessons in tailored, small groups and allowing them to develop a life long love of reading 🥰
