The Parent and Carer Advisory Board (PCAB) is a committee at Our Lady’s Catholic Primary School. Its aim is to promote high standards of educational achievement whilst ensuring the valuable voice of the parent community has a vehicle for influencing decision making and practice.
Purpose of the PCAB:
To support the school’s mission and support the effective implementation of school policy.
To make recommendations about the strategic direction of the school and suggest any issues that could arise or where policy may not be effective.
To support with ensuring the highest standards of educational provision for all pupils.
​To assist the school in meeting the needs of the local community it serves.
PCAB Membership:
The PCAB will consist of between 6 and 12 members, and should as far as reasonably possible, be representative of the children attending the school across all Key Stages.
Members to serve for a 12 month term.
Additional people may be invited to attend meetings and discuss a specific area. This may include, but will not be limited to, other members of Our Lady’s or MAC staff.
Members will ensure confidentiality regarding sensitive issues discussed.
PCAB Meetings:
The PCAB shall meet at least six times across the year (from January 2023 – January 2024).
All meetings will take place from 5.30 – 6.30pm at Our Lady’s Catholic Primary School
The PCAB will contribute to newsletters to update parents on the progress the school is making.
