At Our Lady's, we implement the Read Write Inc Phonics scheme.
Read Write Inc teaches children the sounds in English, the letters that represent them, and how to form the letters when writing. Our Phonics scheme includes reading books which are written using only the letters that children have learnt at each level (as well as a small number of separately taught tricky words).
